Two treated after four-car collision closes road in Battle

Traffic reports said the incident happened on the A271 North Trade Road outside the Squirrel Inn.

Ambulance crews assessed two patients at the scene who declined further hospital treatment, a spokesman said.

The road was closed for some time and there was queuing traffic as a result.

Traffic reports said four cars were involved.

Stagecoach said: “Our service 95 is currently on diversion due to a closure on the A271 Battle Road. We are going to experience delays as a result of this and thank you for your patience.”
