UPDATE: Accident closes A22 near East Grinstead

A major road near East Grinstead was blocked this afternoon (Wednesday September 2) following an accident.

The A22 was closed both ways due to the incident around the A275 Lewes Road (Wych Cross).

The accident happened a mile south of Wych Cross between East Grinstead and Uckfield.

The incident has been cleared now and the road re-opened.
