The spokesperson said the man was unconscious when a doctor at the scene began performing CPR.

On arrival, paramedics joined the doctor, and the team was able to resuscitate the man.

The man was in a serious condition and may have suffered a head injury, the spokesperson added.

The air ambulance flew him to St George’s Hospital in London.

Reports suggest that roads may have been closed while emergency services attended to the man.
