UPDATE: Six people escape from A24 collision

Six people escaped unharmed from a two car collision which closed the A24 in Warnham yesterday evening (Sunday March 24).

Police, fire and ambulance services were called to Dorking Road at the junction with Bell Road at 4.03pm.

The collision between a black Vauxhall Astra and a red Honda Civic left a large amount of debris on across the road, forcing its closure for recovery and cleaning up.

Sussex Police said the six people involved were not hurt.

The southbound carriageway was reopened around 5.30pm.
