UPDATE: Two lanes closed on M23 following five vehicle crash

Two lanes were closed on the M23 after a crash involving five vehicles this afternoon (Wednesday July 27), police said.

Emergency services were called to the collision northbound between junction 9 at Gatwick Airport and junction 8 at about 3.45pm.

Police said no-one was injured.

Two lanes were closed whilst the incident was dealt with.

Officers said four of the cars had been removed with a fifth moved to the hard shoulder.

Traffic is moving but delays are being reported.
