UPDATE: Warnham crash toddler ‘stable’

AN 18-MONTH-OLD girl who was seriously injured in a collision on the A24 at Warnham on Easter Sunday (April 8) is in a stable condition in hospital.

The girl was taken to St George’s Hospital in Tooting following the crash in which a 56-year-old woman died.

A silver Honda Accord was in collision with a blue Volkswagen Golf on the A24, near to the junction with Station Road, at around 11.30am.

The woman, from the Queen’s Park area of London, who was a passenger in the Honda, was sadly declared dead at the scene by an air ambulance doctor. A post mortem will take place later today.

Inspector Phil Nicholas from Sussex Police Road Policing Unit said: “A full investigation into this tragic incident is under way and we still want to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the crash or who saw the vehicles in the area around 11.30am on Easter Sunday.
