UPDATE: Woman taken to hospital after Broadbridge Heath collision

A woman has been taken to hospital following a collision in Broadbridge Heath this afternoon (Monday January 27).

Emergency services were called to the scene just before 1.30pm.

Firefighters used hydraulic rescue equipment to cut open the car and rescue the woman.

Police officers closed the road between the Old Wickhurst Lane junction and Broadbridge Heath roundabout for just under an hour, but it has since been re-opened.

The collision took place between a Jaguar and a Volkswagen.

West Sussex Fire and Rescue confirmed a woman has been taken to hospital.
