Van crashes into telegraph pole, ripping it out

The collision took place in Peregrine Road, shortly before 6am.

The white van was travelling along the street when it hit the pole which collapsed, blocking most of the road.

A spokesman for Sussex Police said no other vehicles were involved and no one was injured during the crash.

No arrests have been made either, the force confirmed.

The highway was shut between Bell Davis Road and Horsham Road while engineers removed the damaged pole.
