Woman rescued after car crash on A259

A woman was rescued from her car after a crash on the A259 at the Pevensey roundabout involving another vehicle on Sunday (September 6).

East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service were called to reports of an car crash with persons trapped outside a petrol station on Bexhill Road in Pevensey at 1pm.

On arrival they found two car that had been involved in a crash with one person trapped.

Crews released one female casualty by cutting off the roof of the car and put her into the care of South East Coast Ambulance Service.

Sussex Police also attended.

Firefighters made the area and vehicles safe before leaving the scene at 13:59.
