Travel and weather update: Rail delays expected to last until 7:30pm

Hour long delays are being caused on the line due to emergency engineering works at Hilsea.

Passengers travelling on routes between Brighton, Littlehampton and Barnham are also experiencing long delays due to a trespassing incident at West Worthing.

Disruption of up to 45 minutes is being reported with the service expected to resume as normal at around 7.15pm.

On the roads slow moving traffic is causing delays between Kentstreet Lane and the A281 in Cowfold.

Heavy traffic on the A24 Southbound is also causing disruption between the A283 The Pike and Glaseby Lane in Washington.

The weather this evening is set to be clear with light winds according to the Met Office.
