TRAVEL: Commuters warned of delays after incident at Ford level crossing

Commuters are being warned of delays after an incident at Ford level crossing earlier this afternoon (March 30).

West Sussex Road Policing Unit are currently attending the incident and have warned there may delays for both road and train users.

A spokesperson for National Rail said the delays could last until at least 4.30pm this evening.

In a statement put out by Southern Rail on their website the company said services between Brighton, Arundel, Littlehampton and Barnham may experience short alterations or cancellations.

The statement reads: “Owing to emergency services dealing with an incident at Ford all service between Brighton/Arundel/Littlehampton and Barnham are subject to short notice alterations, cancellations and delays of up to 30 minutes.

“Stagecoach will pass tickets on route 700 between Brighton and Portsmouth.”
