Emergency services are at the scene of a road traffic collision in Shortgate this afternoon (Thursday, October 15).
East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service was called to the B2192 to reports of a person trapped following a two-vehicle crash at around 3pm. Sussex Police and the South East Coast Ambulance Service are also in attendance.
Forensic collision scene investigators are already examining the crash site and believe both vehicles were travelling in the same direction at the time of the incident. One vehicle ended up in shrubbery by the roadside.
The Broyle, Ringmer is closed from the junction of Shortgate Lane to the Halland Roundabout following the incident, and is expected to remain closed for some time.
Motorists are being asked to avoid the area if possible.
