Travellers move on
Travellers who set up camp on Malling Recreation Ground, Lewes, just yards from a playground have moved on.
The group of eight caravans arrived on Friday and left on Tuesday evening.
Lewes District Council, which owns the site, was planning legal action to force the group off the land but if left of its own accord.
Council workers have since added new metal posts at the entrance to the field to stop other travellers from setting up camp.
