Treve Art festival set to impress at Petworth cottage

A GROUP of artists will be exhibiting their work at the Treve Art festival until August 2.

Held at the Treve Cottage in Petworth, where the Treve Art festival is held for two weeks every year, the event will see 14 artists exhibit their works and run art workshops.

Award winning printmakers Sally Cutler and Kate Boxer will be exhibiting their work, as well as Tate Gallery commissioned artist Euan Cunningham.

Ceramics by Mignon Korn will also be on display, alongside paintings by Dominique Kenway and Ben Goldsmith.

Wildwood, Treve Cottage’s authentic charcoal burners, will be creating and showing fantastic pieces made from wood coppiced and sourced locally.

There will be workshops every weekend suitable for all ages.

These workshops will explore printmaking, weaving, and pottery.

There will also be an ‘arty dip’ - much like a lucky dip, but with art themed prizes - along with a free art making zone, and musical sculptures to play with.

There will also be art demonstrations from the artists exhibiting at the festival, who will demonstrate woodcarving, spinning, besum making and weaving.

The Treve Art festival will be open from 11am to 6pm daily.

Parking and entry is free, although there is a fee of £5 payable for the workshops.
