Brianna Cambridge, of Chyngton Gardens, was driving to work in Crawley when her blue Renault left the road following a four-vehicle collision at around 4am. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Tributes have since been paid to the 21-year-old.

Her boyfriend, Craig Farrant, said: “I lost the most amazing woman I could ever wish to meet, the woman I called my soul mate and my partner in crime. It is a cruel world when someone who bought so much joy to so many, including myself, is lost.

“I am so angry that we will never have the future we had started saving for and the babies she was so desperate for.

“There are so many things I wish I could do differently.

“My last words to her were that I loved her. I take comfort from that.

“I loved her in the purest way. I loved her smiles that would melt my heart and the cuddles that would turn a bad day into a good day.

“I have lost a woman who saw past my own faults and loved me with all her heart, as I do her.

“I will continue to live with Bri always by my side. I will make her as proud of me as I was of her. I will never forget her or the memories we made together.

“I love you my perfect princess.”

Brianna’s father, Andrew Cambridge, also took to Facebook to pay tribute to his daughter. He said: “Today gave me the absolute worst news any parent could receive, the passing of my lovely, beautiful baby girl Brianna Cambridge. She was fabulous, kind and always good for a laugh. She rests now, as she always will, in peace and tranquillity.

“Love always to the most beautiful girl in the world, as she was always to me.”

Brianna attended Tideway School, in Newhaven, and Sussex Downs College, where she studied travel and tourism.
