Tricia pipes for Playden WI

Ninfield piper Patricia Drawbridge played at Playden W.I.'s garden fete in aid of its 90th birthday.

Tricia said the event was held in a beautiful 'secret' garden in Rye, owned by Mrs Ray Festing.

She added: "The fete was opened by Rye Town Crier, then local MP Michael Foster, followed by me piping 'Happy Birthday'.

"I played every five minutes or so from 10am to 12 noon and I understand that it was a great success.

"Members of the Choir from Dordrecht (twin town of Hastings) were over for a concert that evening and they turned up to see a traditional garden fete."
