A child’s mini moto bike, believed to have been taken from the barn, was recovered close to the scene.

The trio were questioned about the incident and were said to be ‘helping police with their enquiries’ over a recent spate of break-ins to outbuildings across Battle and the rural Rother area.

Earlier this month eight break-ins were reported in the space of just nine days.

Items including chainsaws, bicycles, power tools, lawn mowers and quad bikes have been stolen in the series of raids.
