Three men have appeared in court accused of poaching and firearms offences.

Glyn Carley, 48, of Standard Hill Close, Ninfield, Robert Mepham, 49, and 21-year-old Sam Mepham, both of Heathfield, denied the charges when they appeared in the dock on Monday in front of Hastings magistrates.

Carley pleaded not guilty to possessing a dead mandarin duck and failing to comply with a firearms certificate but admitted possessing shotgun cartridges without proper documentation.
