Trio plead guilty to robbery

THREE men have pleaded guilty to a robbery at a Lewes jewellers.

This week the men appeared at Hove Crown Court where they entered guilty pleas to the robbery atJewellers in Cliffe High Street on May 9.

Four men smashed their way into the jewellers using claw hammers and stole an estimated 200,000 of diamonds and jewellery.

On Monday Aaron Stilwell, 22, from London, pleaded guilty to robbery, two counts of handling stolen goods and dangerous driving.

Stephen Lidell, 26, from London, pleaded guilty to robbery and two counts of handling stolen goods.

On the following day Jamie Evans, 34, from Sheerness, Kent, also pleaded guilty to robbery and two counts of handling stolen goods.

The three have been remanded in custody and will be sentenced on June 30.

Police are still hunting the fourth man involved in the robbery.
