TV star attends funeral of make-up artist

TV star Jon Culshaw was among 300 mourners who paid their last respects to make-up artist Diane Chenery-Wickens at her funeral today (Wednesday).

The Dead Ringers star joined the 48-year-old's friends and family in a tiny church in the picturesque village of Fairwarp.

Mrs Chenery-Wickens, an Emmy Award winner who worked on TV shows including Dead Ringers, The League of Gentlemen and Pride and Prejudice, disappeared on January 24.

Her body was found on May 15, following an extensive police search of surrounding countryside.

Her husband David Chenery, 51, is in custody charged with murder.

Mrs Chenery-Wickens' decomposed and partially-clothed body was discovered in woods at Little Horsted by a dog walker.

The site is just seven miles from the home she shared with Mr Wickens at Duddleswell, East Sussex.

Mr Wickens was arrested for questioning when his wife first went missing, and re-arrested and charged with murder when her body was found.

He remains in custody awaiting appearance at a Crown Court, when he will be given a chance to enter his plea.
