Two arrested after machete attack

TWO men have been arrested following a machete attack on a Shoreham father.

Police were called to Buckingham Street in Shoreham at 3.15am on Monday to reports a man had been assaulted and received a head wound.

Scotty McGill, 47, of Freehold Street, was found in a serious condition and taken to Royal Sussex County Hospital, but released later that day.

Two men, a 26-year-old man from Sompting and a 31-year-old man from Shoreham, have been arrested for GBH. They have been bailed until January 17, while enquiries continue.

Police are still appealing for any witnesses to contact police on 101 or email [email protected] quoting serial 81 of 9/12.
