Two arrested and bailed for Horsham jewellery ram raid

A MAN and a woman have been arrested in connection with a £150,000 Horsham jewellery ram raid on January 8.

Wedding rings and diamond jewellery were stolen from Wakefields Jewellers in West Street, Horsham, and police said the couple had been bailed to return on March 21.They said searches had also been carried out at addresses in Horsham and Crawley.

The items were grabbed from a display by a man who fled on the back of a motorbike after a Vauxhall Frontera 4x4 was driven into one of the windows.

Investigating officers said they were keen to hear from people who may have seen a trials motorcycle and blue Vauxhall Frontera, registration number L240 OTP, in the Horsham area during the evening of 7 January.

They would also like to hear from anyone who may have seen a trials motorcycle in the Crawley area in the early hours of 8 January.
