Two arrests after stabbing incident

TWO people suffered knife wounds following an incident in Jubilee Road in Sidley during the early hours of Saturday morning.

Police were called to reports of a dispute in the street and found a 20-year-old local man with stab wounds to his arms and stomach, and a local woman in her 50s with facial cuts.

Both were taken by ambulance to the Conquest Hospital, St Leonards, where they were both treated and later released the same day.

A 28-year-old man was arrested at the scene and the 20-year old was arrested on discharge from hospital, both on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm.

Both were released on police bail until Saturday, April 30 pending further enquiries.
