Two hurt in Battle crash

TWO women were seriously injured when their cars collided in Battle on Monday.

The collision happened at 8.10am on North Trade Road at the junction with Crowders Lane.

A 50-year-old woman from Bexhill, who was driving a Suzuki Liana, was taken to the Conquest Hospital in Hastings with whiplash and injuries to her hips.

A 47-year-old woman from Hastings, driving a Ford Puma, was taken to the Eastbourne District General Hospital where she was found to have fractured her sternum. Both women have since been discharged. Police are appealing for any witnesses to call them on 101.
