The pair were arrested in March this year, and officers said a bag of heroin and crack cocaine worth £2,000 was seized, as well as £12,000 in cash.

Murphy, of Noonan Close, Walton, Liverpool, and Dillon, of Burleigh Road South, Liverpool, both pleaded guilty to two charges each of conspiracy to supply heroin and crack cocaine on April 28.

They were sentenced on Friday (June 9) to six years each.

Detective Constable Mark Pinder said: "This was a further example of the good work that continues within Brighton and Hove to demonstrate that drug dealing will not be tolerated and that those at the high levels of such operations will be caught and will rightly receive high custodial sentences."
