Two men and child injured after car crashes into a tree

Three people were injured after a car collided with a tree in Burwash on Saturday afternoon (December 19).

Police were called at around 12.45pm following reports that a silver Peugeot had been involved in the accident on School Hill.

Police, firefighters and paramedics were called to the scene and the Air Ambulance was scrambled, although its services were not required.

A 35-year-old local man was taken to hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries.

A 24-year-old man from Robertsbridge and an 11-year-old boy from Burwash, who were both passengers in the car, suffered minor injuries.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the accident to call 101.
