Two men charged following Bosham burglary

TWO men will appear in court following a burglary in Bosham on Friday (October 12).

Police were called to a house in Brooks Lane following reports that an adult woman and man at the address were being threatened by two men who had forced their way into the property and were demanding money.

Shortly after 7pm police arrested two men nearby on suspicion of aggravated burglary, and they have now been charged.

Russell Andrew Carruthers, 35, unemployed, of Upper Bognor Road, Bognor Regis has been charged with aggravated burglary, common assault and causing £5,000 worth of criminal damage.

Kevin Richard Tarrant, 48, unemployed, of Bracklesham Lane, Bracklesham Bay, Chichester, has been charged with burglary.

Both men are due to appear at Worthing Magistrates’ Court today (October 15).
