Two rescued after suspected arson
TWO people were led to safety early on Tuesday after a suspected arson attack at a block of flats in Littlehampton.
Crews from Littlehampton and East Preston helped an elderly man in a ground-floor flat in Arundel Road after receiving a call about 3am.
A woman in the flat above had called the fire and rescue service and received fire safety guidance while she waited for crews to arrive.
She also had to be helped by firefighters. The man suffered mild smoke inhalation but neither needed to be taken to hospital.
