Two taken to hospital after crash

Two people were taken to hospital after a crash.

Emergency services were called after two cars collided along Horsham Road, in Handcross, on Saturday (January 16).

A spokesman for the fire service said three crews, two from Crawley and one from Horsham, were sent to the scene at around 1am.

A man and a woman were released from the vehicles by firefighters.

The Air Ambulance also attended along with members of the South East Coast Ambulance service (SECAmb).

A SECAmb spokesman said the man suffered a head injury and was taken by ambulance to Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton.

The woman also suffered a head injury and was taken to Royal Sussex County Hospital for further checks.
