Two teenagers arrested in Lewes stabbing investigation

Police investigating the stabbing of a 17-year-old boy outside the Waitrose store in Eastgate Street, Lewes, on Saturday evening (March 3) have arrested two suspects.

A 15-year-old boy and a 14-year-old boy, both from Brighton and neither of whom can be named for legal reasons, were detained this morning (Monday, March 5). Both were arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent and affray. They are currently in police custody.

Officers continue to appeal for anyone who saw what happened or who may have other information to contact police online or to phone 101, quoting serial 967 of 03/03.
