FINE ARTS SOCIETY: Uckfield and Lewes Decorative and Fine Arts Society meet on Wednesday September 14 at 2pm for 2.30pm start in Uckfield Civic Centre. OPEN SUNDAYS: Sussex Horse Rescue would like to welcome new and returning visitors to our open Sunday events. You will be able to see some of our equines, read about their histories and the work we do. 
We provide pony rides for the children. Visit our Barn Shop and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee in our tea room. We are open every Sunday until September 4. Open 11am to 4pm, adults £2, children £1, car parking free. Hempstead Farm, Hempstead Lane, Uckfield.

A MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM: Chapterhouse Theatre Company presents Shakespeare’s best-loved romantic comedy on Friday September 2. CROWBOROUGH HOSPITAL FETE: August Bank Holiday Monday. It’s a great day out. Attractions will include clothes stalls, bric-a-brac, coconut shy, human fruit machine, book stall, tea, cakes, beer tent, burger bar and art exhibition. And there are special attractions for children including an inflatable two-track assault course along with a face painting team, a jester and stalls selling toys, children’s books and puzzles. 
The Hospital Fete is a firm favourite among Crowborough residents, usually raising in the order of £12,000 to help fund new services and pay for those important little extras for patients that NHS funding cannot provide. Entry is free, but a donation is requested.
