FESTIVAL: Festival of Christmas Trees today, Friday, until Sunday at Holy Cross Church, Church Street. This wonderful community event welcomed over 6000 people last year. The church, will be filled with 100 Christmas trees; sponsors of which include local schools and nurseries, small businesses, charities and individuals, all imaginatively decorated. Entry free but donations most welcome. The Festival starts today, Friday, (Uckfield late night shopping evening) to Sunday and the festival closes with a Christmas service. Activities for children will be available to include face painting, cookie decorating and for adults a Mini Christmas Fayre. Refreshments will be available throughout the weekend to include morning coffee and mince pies, home-made lunches and afternoon tea; there will be local entertainers during the festival. Today, Friday, 10am to 9pm; tomorrow, Saturday, 10am to 6pm, Sunday, 11.30am to 4pm; Festival Service, 4.30pm. Free of charge but donations towards the heating and lighting over the festival period and the running of the church daily would be appreciated.

PANTOMIME: The classic tale of Jack and the Beanstalk. A fun and traditional pantomime for all the family featuring BBC Allo Allo’s Mimi Lebonq (Sue Hodge) as Fairy Cucumber. Children’s pantomime teas available after each matinee performance. Uckfield Civic Centre from Thursday December 13 to Saturday December 15 at various times. All seats £7.50.
