Udimore

PARISH COUNCIL: At the Council's meeting last Wednesday, there was a full discussion of arrangements for the 'Your Udimore' event, which is to be held at the Hall between noon and 2pm on Saturday, April 29. As published in the Council's March newsletter, the aim of this event will be to welcome newcomers to Udimore, and to provide information on the wide range of activities that occur in the village. It was agreed by councillors that hamburgers, tea and coffee would be available, and a bouncy castle for the children. More details will follow as soon as I hear about them.

CHURCH SERVICES: In St Mary’s this Sunday there will be a Service of Holy Communion at 8am, and the monthly Family Service for All at 11.15am, followed by refreshments in the church.

LENT LUNCH: The second of this year’s Lent Lunches will take place next Friday, March 31, at Brede Rectory, between noon and 1.30pm. This will be another simple but wholesome meal, soup followed by bread and cheese, for which there will be no charge, but donations in aid of the Hope House orphanage in Kenya will be gratefully received.
