RYE SINGERS CONCERT IN BREDE: At 7.30pm next Saturday, July 11, St George’s Church, Brede, will be the venue for the Rye Singers’ annual Summer Concert, “On Wings of Song”. Conducted by Lesley Brownbill and accompanied by the versatile Richard Eldridge, their singing is in a class of its own and is always well worth listening to. Their programme will comprise a great mix of music, ranging from Madrigals, through Mendelssohn, to modern pieces. Refreshments and a glass of wine will be included in the £8.50 price of tickets, obtainable from Bobbie Boud (01424 882549) or Michael Iliffe (01424 882991).
