Udimore

TALK ON BREDE CHURCH: At 3pm tomorrow (Saturday) there will be a guided walk around St George’s Church, Brede, led by Dr John Crook FSA, a considerable expert on the architecture and history of parish churches in general, and on Brede’s fine church in particular, for a charge of £5 a head, to include tea and cakes.

UDIMORE SUNDAY SERVICES: At 8am there will be a service of Holy Communion, and at 11.15am the monthly Family Service for All - to be followed by refreshments in the Hall.

TWO IMPORTANT ANNUAL MEETINGS IN THE HALL: 1) The AGM of St Mary’s Community Hall will be held at 7.30pm next Thursday (May 14), an opportunity to hear the Chairman’s and Treasurer’s annual reports on the past year, and to ask questions and make your own suggestions about the running of our Hall.

2) The Annual Parish and Council Meetings will be held at 6.30pm the following evening (Friday May 15). Next week I hope to include more details, which you may also expect to read in the latest Parish Council Newsletter.

UDIMORE GARDEN SAFARI, MAY 30: To set out on this tour of seven of Udimore’s most beautiful and interesting gardens, you will need to collect a map at the Hall any time from 1.30pm onwards, for the modest payment of £6 for each person taking part (children free). Using your map, you will then be able to visit the gardens in any order you choose, before returning to the Hall for tea and cakes. Please keep your diaries clear of other commitments that afternoon!
