Church Services: The services in St Mary’s this Sunday are Holy Communion at 8am and Evening Prayer at 6pm.

Poetry & Prose Evening: If you’d like to come to the 5th Annual Evening of Poetry and Prose in the Hall on Saturday February 28 and don’t yet have a ticket (or tickets), it would be a good idea to ring Robert Wheeler (01797 222009) or Gary Marriott (01424 882412) within the next few days, to make sure of getting in. Previous evenings in the series have all been highly enjoyable, combining the pleasures of listening to one another’s humorous or more serious readings and sitting down to a home-cooked two-course hot supper (washed down with drinks from the licensed bar), wonderful value at £15. If you’d like to be one of the readers, you’re invited to bring along with you a passage or two of your favourite poetry or prose, but you may prefer just to listen. If you come, I’m sure you’ll be glad not to have missed it!
