Christmas Singalong: This was a new event for Udimore, in which members of the successful Vocality weekly choral group had invited others to join them for an evening of carol singing in the Hall. Although not as many accepted the invitation as had been hoped, this was a most enjoyable occasion, carols heartily sung (Duncan Reid kept us going at a brisk tempo), some excellent mulled wine, a plentiful supply of mince pies and some lively conversation beforehand, afterwards and during the half time break. We’re most grateful to the Vocality team for the brilliant idea, very well realized. If you weren’t there, you missed a treat.

Mobile Library: This morning (Friday) will be the Library’s last visit to Udimore on its present schedule (10.15 to 10.40am at Lower Cross Cottages, 10.55 to 11.15 at the Hall). Details of a revised (and probably reduced) schedule will be published in the New Year.

Christmas Church Services in St Mary’s: This Sunday, Sung Eucharist will be at 11.15am, and the Service of Nine Lessons and Carols at 6pm. On Christmas Eve, the Children’s Crib Service will be at 5pm, and Midnight Mass at 11.30pm. On Christmas Day, Family Eucharist will be at 11.15am.

Winter Lunch Party: In your new 2015 diaries, please remember to make a note that this will be in the Hall on Thursday January 22, starting at 12.45pm, a two-course hot meal for the very reasonable £8.50.
