Udimore

The third of the parish Lent Lunches is not today (Friday), as I wrongly stated last week, but next Wednesday, April 9. My apologies for negligently misleading any of you who were planning to go to the lunch today, especially if you’re reading this too late to save yourselves a wasted journey. I hope you’ll be able to attend the lunch in St Mary’s Community Hall on Wednesday instead. It’s from noon till 1.30pm, a free soup and bread-and-cheese meal, at which donations for the four charities supported by the Overseas Group will be gratefully accepted.

This Sunday the monthly Family Sung Eucharist will be celebrated in St Mary’s Church at 9.30am, followed by a social gathering for refreshments in the Hall.

In case you haven’t already been notified by email or poster, you may be interested to know that Udimore Wildlife Society will be meeting in the King’s Head next Friday evening, April 11, 6.15 for 6.30pm, to hear a talk on Water, Wetlands and Wildlife by Fran Southgate, Wetlands Officer of Sussex Wildlife Trust, featuring otters, water voles and other wildlife. Free entry, with an opportunity to make a donation to the Trust. As numbers will be limited, if you’d like to be there, please let Jeremy or Alex Smith know by ringing 01797 230659, or emailing [email protected] .
