If you read this in time, you’re reminded that there will be a coffee morning today (Friday) between 10.30 am and 12.30 pm at Stocks Oast (by kind invitation of Ann and Peter Barker). Raffle tickets for an already jointed and bagged lamb, kindly presented by Richard and Sheila Corke, will be on sale. This is another fundraising event towards the running costs of St Mary’s Community Hall.

Next Friday evening (March 22) at 7.30 pm in the Hall the next meeting of Udimore Gardeners will feature a problem-solving session, followed by an opportunity to exchange plant material with other people there. So please bring along to the meeting your gardening problems to solve, and plenty of seeds, seedlings and cuttings to swap.

At the time of writing, it seemed likely that Tuesday evening’s meeting of the Udimore Wildlife Society (and possibly also the Wednesday evening Parish Council meeting) would be affected by continuing snowfall and icy conditions. I shall hope to report on both events next week.
