LAST Sunday was a perfect day for the Charity Ride and Walk in the Tillingham Valley. The only account I’ve received of it so far was that about 80 horses took part: quite an event!

TOMORROW (Saturday) the Trustees of Udimore Church Hall have invited everyone in the village to come along to the new Hall between 10am and noon to look around the building and enjoy some refreshments. The Trustees will be willing to answer any questions you may have. Details of hiring terms and charges will be available: bookings may now be made with the Booking Manager, Cherry Merricks (07985 639733).

THE inaugural meeting of the St Mary’s Community Hall Management Committee will take place in the Hall at 7pm on Tuesday (October 19). Nomination forms for the election of village representatives onto the Committee will be available, either for personal nomination or for nominating someone else (with their consent, of course). Please do consider offering to serve the community in this practical and important way.
