Worthing and Adur elected four of the party’s candidates at the West Sussex County Council elections last week, and with well-known policies on national issues, they have spoken of their priorities for the local area.

Worthing resident Mike Glennon, who won more votes in the Lancing division than any of the other parties combined, said he would deliver what his constituents wanted.

He said: “I was a teacher for 15 years, so will make clear to the council this is my expertise.

“As a motorcyclist, I want to deal with the pothole issue, too.

“Part of my campaigning was asking what matters to the voters as it’s about representing them.”
