The Rye Ukulele Experiment is a group of ukulele enthusiasts who play every Tuesday at The Queens Head pub in Rye.
They have been busking and taking performance bookings around Rye over the past year to raise money for St Michael’s Hospice and other local charities.

Hide AdIan Burford, Musical Director for the group, said “Last year we raised around £400 for the Hospice and this year we had set a target of £500. I’m very pleased to say we exceeded our target and had the great pleasure of presenting a cheque for £601 to Bruni Llovet, at the Hospice.
“Our thanks must go to all the people who have put money in to our bucket and to all the organisations and promoters who asked us to perform in 2015.
