UPDATE: Boy driver, 17, injured after car flips in Bexhill crash

A car ended up on its roof after a crash in Bexhill which left the 17-year-old driver injured this morning (Friday, June 10).

East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service crews from Bexhill and South East Coast Ambulance Service crews were mobilised to the crash ion Birkdale at around 8am.

The boy was out of the vehicle on arrival and left in the care of paramedics.

He was assessed and treated at the scene but did not need to go to hospital.

The crew made the vehicle safe before leaving.

Andy Ashbey, who witnessed the aftermath of the crash, said: “I was walking my two five year olds to school on Birkdale this morning when we saw a car on its roof on the pavement.

“Thankfully, no one was hurt but it could have been very different as this happened during the school run. Lots of parents and children were around at this time.”
