UPDATE: Fallen tree and power cables closes A272 in Maresfield

The A272 was closed in Maresfield because of a fallen tree and power cables for several hours this evening (Wednesday, June 29).

The road is closed with heavy traffic in both directions between the roundabout with the A22 and Down Street from around 4pm, according to BBC Travel.

No one was hurt.
