UPDATE: Ice and crashes cause traffic problems near Horsham

The A281 in Palmers Cross, just north of Cranleigh, was closed due to a serious collision and the slippery road surface.

There was queuing traffic in both directions between the Chestnut Way junction and the B2130 Barrihurst Lane junction.

Meanwhile, a three-car crash caused the A283 Petworth Road in Chiddingfold, west of Dunsfold, to be partially blocked.

Traffic was very slow southbound at the Coxcombe Lane junction with ice also affecting the road.

The incidents have been cleared now and the roads re-opened.
