UPDATE: Man injured after car and motorbike collide

A man has been injured after a car and a motorbike collided this evening (Thursday December 3).

Emergency services were called to the crash in West Street, Burgess Hill, at around 5.15pm.

A police spokesman said a man, who was riding the motorbike, sustained a leg injury. It is not believed to be life-threatening.

The road was closed in both directions between the Sussex Way junction and the B2036 London Road junction.

Police have now left the scene and the road has re-opened.
