Update: More trains in Sussex delayed

National Rail has reported delays on a number of Sussex train operators.

Major delays have been reported on Southern and Thameslink services after a vehicle hit a bridge at Tulse Hill.

Southern routes between London Bridge and West Croydon/Beckenham and Thameslink routes between Luton and Sutton will be delayed by up to 40 minutes until 7.45pm today (Friday May 29).

A lineside fire near Hilsea has caused diversions and waits of up to 60 minutes between Portsmouth Harbour and Havant. They were expected to continue until 4.30pm.

Southern’s London Victoria and Southampton Central/Brighton; South West Trains’s London Waterloo and Portsmouth Harbour; First Great Western’s Great Malvern and Brighton lines have been affected.

A signalling problem was expected to continue to delay all Southeastern routes from London Bridge by up to 20 minutes until at least 3.30pm.
