Update: Motorcyclist hospitalised after Hastings crash

A crash in Hastings left a motorcyclist in hospital yesterday afternoon (Thursday, April 14).

The biker, a 37-year-old Brighton man, crashed his black Gilera Runner into a parked blue Mitsubishi Lancer car on Linley Drive, just north of the junction with Linley Close.

South East Coast Ambulance Service were called at 3.20pm and sent an ambulance and two response cars to the scene.

The motorcyclist suffered from pelvic and leg pain but was fully conscious.

However he was taken as a priority to the Conquest Hospital for further treatment, but was later released.

The road is closed in both directions at the Wilmington Road junction, according to BBC Travel.

Buses and cars are being diverted via Hoadswood Road in both directions until further notice, according to Stagecoach.
