The annual Joint User Group (JUG) meeting at BBHLC’s committee room one starts at 7.45pm and will discuss the group’s concerns about Horsham District Council’s plans for replacement facilities when the existing centre is decommissioned.

Jonathan Chowen, HDC’s cabinet member for arts, heritage and leisure, will be holding a question and answer session during the meeting.

It was announced in November 2011 that the leisure centre would be scrapped, but after the JUG spearheaded a campaign to save it, HDC agreed in July 2012 to provide a new facility south of the existing building.

The council is also looking to provide a new running track at nearby Tanbridge House School.

Anyone who uses the centre or track is invited to come along and hear the latest news.
