Update: Police appeal following moped crash in Bexhill

Police have issued an appeal for witnesses following a crash which left a moped rider in hospital.

A 61-year-old Bexhill woman sustained multiple fractures after her pink Honda moped collided with a green Mazda MX-5 sports car at the junction of Middlesex Road and seafront De La Warr Parade shortly before 1.15pm on Sunday (January 31).

The injured woman was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital, Brighton, where her condition was later said to be stable. A 27-year-old man driving the Mazda and his a 61-year-old female passenger, both from Bexhill-on-Sea, were not hurt in the crash.

Police are now appealing for anyone who saw the incident to contact them, either by e-mailing [email protected] or phoning 101, quoting serial 680 of 31/01.
